Newsletter: You're Not Invisible Online, You're Just Missing This

Hey Reader,

Are you pouring your heart out into your social media posts, only to be met with crickets?

Posting every day, using all the right hashtags, and still not growing? Are you feeling frustrated, invisible, and ready to throw in the towel?

Well, what if I told you, it's not your fault, it's just your approach.

Here's a secret I've learned from generating millions in sales and crafting copy that converts like a dream: The same old patterns won't give you different results.

Social media algorithms are finicky beasts.

They feed on novelty, change, and user attention. They reward posts that keep users scrolling, liking, and sharing.

This means that the usual, predictable posts aren't going to cut it anymore.

THE SOLUTION

This is where "pattern interruption" and "curiosity-driven hooks" come into play. Pattern interruption is a neuromarketing strategy that aims to disrupt the audience's routine and grab their attention.

It's about delivering something unexpected that stands out from the sea of similar content.

Curiosity-driven hooks, on the other hand, are cleverly crafted phrases that generate intrigue and make your audience want to learn more.

They tap into the human desire for knowledge and create an irresistible pull towards your content.

THE TRANSFORMATION

By leveraging pattern interruption and curiosity-driven hooks, you don't just get your audience’s attention; you engage them on a deeper level.

You spark interest, provoke thought, and encourage action.

Here are 3 hook formats that have worked wonders for my clients:

1. The Question Hook: Pose a thought-provoking question that your audience can't ignore.

2. The Shocking Statement: Say something surprising or controversial that jolts your audience. (my favorite)

3. The Teaser: Give a sneak peek into something exciting, without revealing too much.

To illustrate, let's rework a standard post for a product:

"Our new skincare line is now available."

With a question hook: "Want to know the secret to radiant skin?"

With a shocking statement: "Everything you know about skincare is wrong."

With a teaser: "Experience a skincare revolution. Stay tuned for the big reveal."

Before: "Our new skincare line is now available."

After: "Everything you know about skincare is wrong. Our revolutionary product is about to change the game. Stay tuned.

Can you see the difference? Embracing this approach will lead to higher engagement, more shares, and a deeper connection with your audience. It's more than just about getting likes; it's about sparking meaningful conversations and building a community around your brand.

Marketing News You Can Use

Maximize Your Instagram Growth: Attracting the Right Followers

Struggling to grow a meaningful Instagram following? The key to success isn’t chasing every trend—it's about selecting the right content pillars to match your strengths and audience needs. Focus on two or three types of content for consistency and a clear brand identity.

Relatable Content is essential. It humanizes your brand and connects with your audience through shared experiences, humor, or industry struggles. This content performs well in terms of shares and saves and balances out more educational posts. For instance, pairing relatable memes with industry jokes helps you engage without always selling.

You can also harness relatable quotes! This performs without fail.

To build a consistent content strategy, mix pillars keeps your audience engaged while showcasing your expertise and personality.

Combine different types of content—like Showcase Posts with relatable humor—to maintain a human touch while highlighting your professional skills. By choosing content pillars that align with your brand, you’ll build a more engaged and loyal Instagram following.

YouTube Ads

To create more effective YouTube ads, focus on these key strategies: Start with a strong hook to grab attention that speaks directly to your ideal client, followed by a compelling story, and end with a clear call to action with a 5 second countdown at the end (the countdown has been known to increase conversions as it gives people time to respond).

Use competitor targeting to reach relevant audiences and tailor your message to match their needs for better results. (Yes you can run ads on competitors channels)

If you’re camera-shy, consider using voiceovers, slides, or animations as alternatives. Add value to your ads by offering useful information or entertainment rather than focusing solely on sales.

Test different creatives, hooks, and track conversion metrics to optimize your campaigns.

Finally, ensure your offers resonate across niches and leverage YouTube’s tracking tools to measure success and refine your approach. Avoid common mistakes, like neglecting audience targeting or not testing enough, for the best ad performance. Your conversions should be close to a dollar if done correctly.
